This is an absolutely gorgeous book and a great source of visual and historical information. I have several books on English country houses and this one probably leads the list, followed by Barker's English Country House Interiors. Both books are published by Rizzoli and must have for anyone interested in the traditional, grand British architecture.

If you enjoy European architecture, lavishly decorated homes, and lots of beautiful photography, this would be an excellent book to own. It would also make a great coffee table book with it's hard covers and large size.
