I recently received this book for 2010 christmas, and I am thrilled to see the inventive ways in which global artists are transforming printmaking into contemporary works of art. This book focuses on 10-15 artists and their method for printmaking, and context of work. I like to see what contemporary artists are doing by taking the modern print out of the frame and using printmaking mediums to develop large scale projects, installations, and sculptural artworks that barely resemble a traditional print. I enjoy all printmaking books, and I am glad to add this to my collection, as these collaborative installations are becoming more popular in local art cultural centers.

I just got invited by Amazon to buy this book - which is rather amusing because I am one of the artists featured in the book.

That aside - it IS an excellent book. I say this because of the diversity of the artists the author has focused on,
along with the thoughtful and insightful writing.
