Shirley Sherwood - Treasures of Botanical Art (page 251). I loved Helen Haywood's Thistle which appeared complex and delicate - odd words to use for a thistle but possibly the best botanical painting of a thistle I've ever seen. Well done to all the artists who have been featured and the authors and publishers for producing a good quality book which I'm sure will become a 'landmark publication'. My copy of this book is so worn. If you don't have a personal botanical guide and can't afford time or expense to travel and see all this work, buy this book. Have recommended this book to other botanical artists and every one who sees it has purchased it. Full of exquisitely rendered specimens in many different styles of botanical painting. Gives some background on each of the artists, but the real feature is the large reproductions of the art work. An excellent reference book for painters and a beautiful book to display. Don't miss this one!

This book just proves that botanical art is as relative today as it ever has been. The modern interpretation and presentation of the paintings is wonderful.
