I have read this book, MATHBART and the two volumes of Schillinger's Music Composition. I own a copy of Kaliedophone. I read through them via borrowing from the electronic library system in the United States. The books are far too expensive however. I hope and pray that one day I will find some reasonably priced copies of his books. One person found this helpful.

The Schillinger System of Musical Composition, named after Joseph Schillinger (1895–1943) is a method of musical composition based on mathematical processes. It comprises theories of rhythm, harmony, melody, counterpoint, form, and semantics (emotional meaning, as in movie music). It offers a systematic and non-genre specific approach to music analysis and composition, a descriptive rather than prescriptive grammar of music.
