What a disappointment! I bought this book because I love botanical gardens and because I hold Ian Adams, the photographer, in high esteem. Unfortunately, the designer has made a mess out of the pictures (good as they are, they've often been fragmented and mutilated) and the lay-out is just terrible - design as l'art pour l'art, and bad art at that. Complete pages have been covered with tasteless typography. To make things worse, the short texts contain little useful information. Compared to the recent publications on the botanical gardens of Kew (London), New York or Missouri, this book is just one big impertinence and a complete waste of money!
