He would not be a bad choice for an apartment provided you were able to exercise him. He doesn't bark indoors, he thinks he's a lap dog, and he is very, very smart. They are very loving and very loyal, and I would recommend him to any experienced dog owner.

This is absolutely the BEST Lab book I've ever seen. Don't understand some of the negative comments - it couldn't be any better!!!!!!! My husband and a couple of my neighbors have also looked at it and couldn't believe how good it was. The pictures really capture what a Lab is all about. If the author was here right now, I'd give him/her a hug!

The 5x5 inch book fits in my palm. Excellent photos and clever captions stretch across every page. There is no lengthy text. If you have friends who don't own a dog, this little book should persuade them to go find their perfect dogs---yellow, chocolate or black Labrador Retrieves of course.
