I purchased this book on Amazon last semester after finding it for a fraction of the cost my college bookstore was selling it for. There are 20 chapters in this book sectioned into 6 parts as listed below:

Part 1 (Chapters 1-4) -> Business Trends: Cultivating a Business in Diverse, Global Environments
Part 2 (Chapters 5 & 6) -> Business Ownership: Starting a Small Business
Part 3 (Chapters 7-9) -> Business Management: Empowering Employees to Satisfy Customers
Part 4 (Chapters 10-12) -> Management of Human Resources: Motivating Employees to Produce Quality Goods and Services
Part 5 (Chapters 13-16) -> Marketing: Developing and Implementing Customer-Oriented Marketing Plans
Part 6 (Chapters 17-20) ->Managing Financial Resources

I found this book to be very helpful and I think it offers some great information to those who may be striving to be small business owners in the future and starting their own LLC or partnership. This book is packed with information on all things business and I think it's a must have for anyone like me who has never taken a business class before.

DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM! Buy the access code instead. It comes with the online book. I now have to spend close to $150 to buy the access code separately. The seller should really email a code with this purchase or at least make sure to inform the buyers that this DOES NOT COME WITH THE CODE FOR CONNECT.

I needed this book for school. As far as textbooks go it isn't the worst I've come across. I docked on star because of the whole malarkey about an "access code". Pro tip - On the McGraw Connect site they let you have free access for a limited time. For my class I was able to just finish all of the module assignments within the trial period to save myself $150+. For a college textbook it's a pretty easy read with a lot of pictures. And the information for this edition is surprisingly relevant.

I really like this book. I am currently taking a straighter-line course and this is the required textbook. This book has a lot of great information for business students. I learned a lot about different types businesses so far from this book. It is very engaging and relate-able to students that may not have any experience in business. After reading a few chapters I immediately started coming up with different ideas for start up businesses. I guess this book has a way of inspiring creativity in me. Anyways, the writing in the book is easy to understand, but don't think for a second that this is a quick an easy textbook, because it is not! Actually, this book is very big and has lots of extra links to get further information and exercises from. So there is enough information to keep you busy with this book.

DO NOT BUY THIS IF USING FOR AN ONLINE CLASS -- it states it comes with Connect Plus, but the code is only good for one use and after that its unusable. I had to return it and instead rented it through amazon for $20 and bought the software separately. The title is very misleading and the fact that it stated to come with the software is the only reason I bought this specific version!

Does not include connect. If you buy connect they'll include an online book it is cheaper. But the book is great it's interesting and explains concepts well.

No where on this listing did it mention that this was an international copy, for use outside of the United States. Not at all what I needed or intended to order!!
This was a really good txt book. It was actually the previous edition to what my professor was using at the time, but almost exactly the same, including the pictures and captions, only difference was page numbers and a few minor details. It was laid out well and was visually easy to read quickly. It arrived in new condition, I only paid a couple dollars for it. I was really impressed that the book clearly hadn't been used! When I got to class, I found out my classmates had paid over $100 for their current editions. What truly made this a gem however, was the fact that all the answers to the final came from this book and not the current edition (at that time). It was very gratifying considering this was a business class!
