Yadin Dudai is the first person, to my knowledge, to try to bring all these experimental and theoretical approaches within the compass of a relatively short book by a single author. He does not, however, allow his favoured organism and approach to take precedence over others, giving the systems and theories that I have mentioned serious attention. Dudai is very conscious that he is discussing an area in which theory, experiment and subjective preconception are deeply intermingled.
In general, the book achieves both aims. well written, extensively referenced, and thoughtful-an excellent acquisition for any upper division undergraduate or university library with clientele interested in the biology of behavior.
The Neurobiology of Memory. Concepts, Findings, Trends. In general, the book achieves both aims.
