First, I should say that I had to deal with the company that created this directly because of the problems that I had with the book and cd. The CD is soooooooo old that it wouldn't even install on any of my computers. I think it was designed for Windows XP but when I tried that it wouldn't work. So instead I was forced to contact the company and they allowed me to download the program. The program was treated like a virus by my antivirus program and removed numerous times. The only reason I would say this is needed is if you have no clue what a business plan is or if you have never written one before. By the time I had to purchase this for a class, I had written three business plans already.

The sample plans are OK but in reality this book needs to be updated. They actually have a website with a subscription base that they are pushing now instead of this. The company also does not recognized sales of this book by anyone except themselves. So, if you have a problem with the book they usually just push you to their website for the subscription. If you need this book for a class, you can just get a used copy because the cd doesn't work.

Needed for a graduate course...the software is okay and the book is decent. It's not bad for a rough draft of a business plan, but unless your business concept is one of the pre-loaded ones, it's a bit ambiguous.

Very very weak >> but I needed it for a class. so I had to buy it... But doesn't really tell you much on building real business plans or analyzing businesses. It was very very weak.

I must change my previous review on this product. I recently was able to get the Biz Plan Builder software working on Windows 7 and I must say that the software is very helpful in preparing a business plan. This is a good product and worth the new purchase price in order to use the software. I am pleasantly surprised.

The book is fine, however the software is for Windows 95, thus it does not work in any current computers, I had to buy the software seperately from Jian at another $100. Very poor

I got this book for a class I took last semester. It's alright. Not sure if it'd be something I would buy just to buy but it's not horrible.

Like most of these Business Books, I purchase this to fulfill the need of a class. The entire class was geared around this builder; however, the instructor quickly pointed out several items that needed to be updated or no longer valid due to the changing of time.
