Common Sense Rules ebook

by Deborah Meaden

How do you turn a bright idea into a commercial proposition? How do you inspire others to get on board? Above all, how do you make sure that you stay focused and achieve the goals you’ve set yourself? Some of Deborah’s insights come from observing the successes – and the failures – of others. Many more, though are drawn from her own life and business ventures. She shows, for example, how an early stint as a bingo caller in a holiday park gave.

Business expert and Dragon’s Den denizen, Deborah Meaden has years of experience building up her own companies and investing in others. She has the ideal combination of knowledge.

At the time I looked at buying this book there was only one review. When it read "It's all advice, advice, advice" I bought it immediately.

I've read through enough literature to know whether a book will be worth my while by the 10% mark. I'm only 18% of the way through this book and have already decided it is the best business advice book I've bought thus far.

I find most advisory books explain how business challenges were approached by the author but they seldom explain the reasoning behind actions, often leaving me with the impression that the author was just "gifted" enough to have made the right call in a particular situation. In my view, understanding why a decision is made is more important than the decision itself as one variable could influence you to decide entirely differently.

I started my own venture just under a year ago. No single individual can tell you exactly what you should do in your own circumstances but I was looking for guidance as to whether I'm at least moving in the right direction.

This book is to the point with practical advice. Short examples help you relate the advice to your own situation. I have yet to leave a section of the book wondering why a certain approach is advocated.

This was money well spent.

This book was a reality check that stopped me in my tracks. It really made me question my entrepreneurial abilities, but in a good way. I feel, short of being able to confer with Deborah Meaden face to face her book makes for a very good substitute. If you're looking for easy to grasp, thoroughly explored common sense advice for running a successful business then go for it! Buy this book. I'm certainly glad I did and having been tested by Deborah's searching questions there's no doubt in my mind business is my thing.

Do you know I like Deborah on dragons den however if you are looking for a rags to riches story, forget it. It's all advice, advice, advice. Do this do that.. Peter jones book is the same.

If you are looking for something that is interesting and you can't put down, try Duncan bannatyne or James caan
