Pinkerton and his feline sidekick bump into Dr. Aleasha Kibble and her Hunting Academy out for fox, but the striped fox looks remarkably like a skunk
Book was in great shape. Any Steven Kellogg book is sure to be a hit with both the kids and the adults. The stories are entertaining and the illustrations are wonderful and whimsical. All my grandchildren have loved them, both when being read to and once they could read them on their own.
We have ages 3-12 kids who just LOVE this book, it is one of our favorites by Steven Kellogg.
A young girl is on assignment to identify mammals for a school project with the help of Pinkerton and Rose (her dog and cat). They meet up with a "snooty" hunting class who keep mis-identifying a fox.
It is so fun to read and I love the illustrations Steven Kellogg does that adds so much silent information and "funny-ness" to the story.
Great book to own.
I am a total Steven Kellogg fan! I have all of his books.
This laugh out loud book has Steven Kellogg's wonderful words and illustrations along with rifles & clueless adults. Hmmm, timely. As always, the loveable, super sized Pinkerton radiates love but know that the indisciminate shooting might be disturbing to some.
I gave this to my 3 year old grandson for his birthday. I liked the book, but think that it would have been more suitable for him if he was 4 or older.
Came in great condition , just as listed.
Best of the series.
My family first learned of "Pinkerton the big, clumsy Great Dane dog", while standing in line to sign up on a waiting list for another children's book title by Mr. Kellogg at our public library...we were enthusiastically informed by the younger folks in line that "Pinkerton rules!" So we put our names in for the same book also. We eventually loved reading it together so much, that we bought the hard cover copy for our home. Now that we have our first grandchild, we can start another generation on "Pinkerton Mania"!! Of all the Pinkerton books, and we love them all...this one is our favorite!
I have a copy of this book that Steven Kellogg signed at my elementary school in Connecticut when I was a kid. It's one of my prized possessions. He's just wonderful, and his illustrations are amazing- I always find something new, and he has a very distinctive, joyful style. I highly recommend all of his books!
