this is the absolutely the most gooey, mushy, NICE book that you will ever read. it starts in a cookie store- how delicious. about a little kitten that needed a home and the bakers take him in and feed him cream. the bakers buy him a little bowl that says kitty on it. the cat knows not to jump on the table. children come and put the cat on their shoulder and hold him like a baby. at Christmas he wears a jingle bell and giant bow every day in December.

it also includes cookie recipes.

the only downfall is the drawings are absolutely horrible. looks like a 7 year old did it. if a 7 year old did do it- then kudos!

This is a lovely tale of a kitten adopted by the bakers in a cookie-store bakery. It recounts the cat's life from the time one of the bakers found her outside and how she becomes a feature of the bakery. This is a sweet and charming story that delights my second-grade students year after year. I have to purchase the book again and again as it becomes dog eared from so many readings.

This is a very sweet story of a cat who is befriended by a cookie store baker. It sends a nice message about love and friendship. I really think it is suitable for children who are atleast 5 though, I read it to a class of 4 year olds and it is a little long for their age group.
