Jo, Laurie, Meg, Amy and Beth will thrill you with their simple joys and heartfelt grievances of growing up. This book stretches out from when the girls are children to mid-teens to when they are grown and married. I would also recommend "Little Men" by Louisa May Alcott. Disclaimer: Some parts are boring beyond words, just a few, but feel free to skip it. Or you could just plow through it like I did.
