Interesting. I like the over all concept and like that some adult issues are camouflaged cautiously, but some may be a little more adult than some would like. I think if you make sure to involve yourself so that your personal guidance is involved than it's pretty good. It's a deep kids book. Its actually entertaining for my kid too though because of trying to find the cat.

I didn't realize this was a board book! It is tiny -- I used a glue stick for comparison in the photo.

That being said, it is a thoughtful book that incorporates the alphabet into things that are very relevant for my students, while keeping things appropriate for the Elem classroom. Love that the language is beautiful, on top of it.

Everything I've ever wanted in a book! Letter by letter, it talks about social justice issues. I can't wait to read this to my baby.

I loved finding such a book in Spanish. However, it is just not as good as the original "A is for Activist" (or "Counting on Community"). The original English book rhymes, and the translated version does not; it's awkward. All of the beautiful images are nearly the same, but often, the images don't fit because of the translation. I appreciated that ch, ll, and rr were added to the alphabet book. I would not recommend this book if you are looking for a fun, rhyming book that is comparable to the English version, but in Spanish.
