I brought this book with me to the hospital, and started reading it to my son on the day he was born. He is now 9yo, and still occasionally picks it up when he's had a bad day. The rhyming descriptions of Mama Bear's story to each of her cubs is beautifully lyrical, and my little guy was engrossed with the illustrations. I bought this version to give to a new mom. ❤️

My 6 year old twins brought this home from school to read. As soon as we read it I knew I was going to buy a copy for us to keep at home. They love the story, and like to pick which bear they want to be. I really think it's a great story for all ages. Tho, it does have paper pages, so if you have a little one who likes to tear pages, maybe try to find a cardboard copy.

Best bedtime book. My daughter can read to herself now (she’s 7) but she still loves reading this book together as a family right before bed. I recommend it for all ages. We love it so much we bought this one for my niece who’s almost 3.

My daughter first discovered this book when she checked it out from her school's library. She fell in love with it and hid it for almost a month. Finally I ordered this book and she brought forth her library book. Three years later it is still one of her favorite bedtime stories. Sometimes even when we don't read it we still go through the routine in the book and I have to make up poems for her and whichever stuffed animals she is sleeping with.

I bought this book as part of a baby shower gift at the suggestion of my children - ages 11 and 15. They both loved this book when they were little. At the age of 3 my daughter could recite the entire book because we had read it so many times. It has a great rhythm and a night time feel. Cant say enough about this book. Parents and children alike will enjoy reading this at bedtime.

I have been reading this to her since she was a baby, now at almost four she brought this in to preschool for her teacher to read to the class because it's still her favorite. I also give it as a gift at baby showers and the new moms tell me often that their children request it so much that they get tired of reading it! We do have it memorized. I also love that it's wonderful for little girls and little boys :)

This is one of the books that my grandson continually asks me to read to him. We've read it so much that he knows when I intentionally read something wrong and corrects me.
