Marcus Pfister (born 30 July 1960 in Bern, Switzerland) is a Swiss author and illustrator of children's picture books. His Rainbow Fish series of children's picture books, published since 1992, has been a worldwide success. DHX Media turned the picture books into a 26-episode animated television series of the same name, which has aired on the HBO Familytelevision channel in the United States since 2000.

Meet Marcus Pfister at ww. arcuspfister. Marcus Pfister was born in Bern, Switzerland. After studying at the Art School of Bern, he apprenticed as a graphic designer and worked in an advertising agency before becoming self-employed in 1984. His debut picture book, The Sleepy Owl, was published by NorthSouth in 1986, but his big breakthrough came 6 years later with The Rainbow Fish.

The animals are having a party and they all dream about looking different for the big event.
