Miss Nelson Is Missing! ebook

by Harry G. Allard Jr.,James Marshall

The kids in Room 207 were misbehaving again. Spitballs stuck to the ceiling. Paper planes whizzing through the air. They were the worst-behaved class in the whole school.

So begins this quirky classic, first published in 1977 and still relevant today as a lighthearted reminder to show our appreciation to those we value. The students don’t proffer a shred of respect for their good-natured teacher Miss Nelson, but when the witchy substitute Miss Viola Swamp appears on the scene, they start to regret their own wicked ways. James Marshall’s scritchy, cartoonish full-color ink and wash illustrations are hilarious. A back-to-school perennial!

I bought this book because it's a classic from my youth. I remember watching Reading Rainbow when they featured this book. Well it's appeal hasn't died my kids love it!!! My kids are 18 to 4 and I am frequently asked by the younger ones that can't read it to read it again and again! A must for any family library!

One of my all time favorites. I have read it to my classes and to my grandchildren.
It is a classic and perfect for dressing up as the main character.
Little ones love the suspense and feel they "knew it" all along.
Clever illustrations abound.

My wife just remembered this book the other day. She used to read it when she was a kid in elementary school. She really wanted to get it so my son could enjoy it like she used to. He loves it too. She was so glad she could get it so easily on Amazon.

As a preschool teacher, my students love this book! Every time we read it they all laugh and gasp along with the story. I think it is a great way to start off a new year or half way through the year to help remind students about the importance of following rules and doing our best. I only give it four stars cause the characters are all pretty generic.

Transitioning from daycare teacher to public school substitute was completely nerve racking for me... At the beginning of my journey, Substute Creacher was there to help immediately draw attention and ease the awkwardness in the room. Great experience for both, the kids and me. Monthssss later, I still keep it on hand. Perfect pair to Substitite Creacher ????

I remember enjoying this book when I was young. A very good book that reminds children (and adults) not to wait to appreciate something good.

I read this to my patient and she loved it! I would recommend all children be read this book. It is awesome.
I loved this book as a little girl and had to purchase it for my son. He's only 3 so he wasn't as interested because he doesn't really understand the concept of substitute teachers yet, but when he gets older I'm sure he'll enjoy this more.
