I love this little log and so do my kiddos. My son (7yo) and my daughter (8yo) have turned into avid readers the past 6 mos so I wanted something to keep track of all the books that they read this year. They were so excited to start filling this out and tear off the little corners. The book is well constructed. I have attached several pictures as I was hoping to see some of the inside of the book but there were never any posted.

I bought this so that I could start tracking the chapter books that my son and I read together, or (even better!) the books he is now reading to me! My expectations were surpassed. Each book entry has not only the standard "title, author, rating, notes" section, but it also has a page with an activity (i.e., asking questions about mom and dad's favorite childhood books, making a vocabulary list of new words that we learned in that particular book, coloring activities, naming your bookworm, etc.). My son is so excited to tear off the tab at the corner of the page when he's completed a book and "feed" his bookworm. I love seeing how excited this makes him, and it's making reading even more of a bonding experience for us.

I have been using this book all summer for my son. He is going into 1st grade and I wanted to keep him working throughout the summer. I love this! My sons loves that we get to score each book with a star rating; and he loves when he finishes a page he gets to feed the book worm. We actually decorated a Mason Jar and he puts the leaves in the jar; he loves watching the Jar fill up!

This is great; can easily be for someone a little older; as my son only writes 2 sentences but there is enough room for a good paragraph.

So awesome. Exactly what I was looking for in order for my 7-year old daughter to log the chapter books she is reading in 2nd grade. It has pages for about 50 books that are two sided. One offers a place to list the title, author and date read, as well as star rating icons, and then a "why I liked this book" section. The back of the pages varies from page to page...sometimes a maze, sometimes a place to list new vocab words, or to draw, etc. I will be giving this a gift to others as well.

I wish I read the reviews before I bought this, I would've had a better idea of what to expect. in the main product picture it looks like a thick hard cover book, but its a spiral bound paperback, and not ad many pages as I was expecting. The pages aren't numbered, but I would guess about 100 pages. Still an awesome buy though! I will buy another copy when we finish this one.

This book / journal is really good. Lots of activities and details for writing about what you read. Even a kid who hates to read will love this book. Comes with a book mark too. Parents have to cut it out though.

sent it to grand niece and have heard that she loves it! I looked at it in a book store for much more money. I would recommend it for parents who are trying to get their children to not just read, but learn the skill of writing as well.
