My 8 year old son and I love Max Axiom comics! So great to teach with and spurs on many great discussions, they're extremely well written and thought out. Impressive interplay between being easy enough to read through without glossing over interesting details.
Explained the scientific method well and clearly, and the whole thought process behind it. It was a good intro to the series for us.

Absolutely! These are the perfect books for reluctant readers. My son struggled to meet his non-fiction reading quotas at school until we found Max Axiom. Not only is the science explained in an easy to understand manner, these books are fun to read and listen to. The audiobooks for this series are a great supplement. For an extra couple of dollars on Audible, it adds a new dimension.

Remind me of Rescue Heroes, but for older kids. I will be ordering the entire series.

Unlike most $70 elementary and middle school science texts (i.e., McGraw Hill "Science: A Closer Look"), this comic book describes the scientific method correctly and illustrates by example its use. A very nice birthday gift book for a kid in late elementary or middle school. Entertaining and informative.

This book, done in comic book style, is fun if age appropriate. I bought for my grandson for his 10th birthday, whom is home schooled, and it was a bit below his skill level. I was hoping for something a bit more challenging; however, he enjoyed reading very much.

My son has been able to very explain science techniques since reading these series and finds great joy in reading them. He's now eager to get involved in science projects without us having to fuss at him.

Love the series just wish the books were longer
The idea of these books is great, but they need to make the book longer with more of a plot so that children have time to get into the adventure and learn the information.

My wife uses these in her 5th grade classroom and the students really like them. She found it especially useful with reluctant readers.
Great way of explaining complex concepts
