I bought this because I got it on a special and was impressed by the reviews. I am so glad I bought it. Only half way through because I am reading slowly as a devotional and there is a lot to absorb and think about. Definitely not a prosperity gospel message. Just finished the 4th prayer that God will answer yes - God Get Me Through This Suffering. Instead of praying for God to change our difficult circumstances or to give us what "we" want this author challenges us to ask for God's help in walking what may be a dark path where we can't see the road ahead. The real blessings come when we follow His path with His help and guidance. Other chapters are titled "God show me you exist," "God use me", "God give met wisdom," etc.

DeStefano's book is very readable, and it's remarkable how well it covers some of the most difficult questions we have about prayer. "God, show me that you exist" is the first prayer he talks about. I've known of several agnostics and even an atheist who came to believe because they humored someone who persuaded them to pray for this, even though they were sure they had not a shred of faith.

The common thread through all the chapters is that God desires that we know Him and worship Him, and He will always give us the grace to move closer to Him if we sincerely ask Him in prayer. He will increase our faith; He will show us what He wants us to do; He will give us the courage to face difficult situations; He will help us to love our neighbor. If we cooperate with His grace, He will not let us down. To me, that was the message of the book. By taking one chapter at a time, and really meditating on it, we can not only pray the right way, but also know in our hearts that God is there with us. Working through the book one chapter at a time was a great experience for me. At first I meant to read straight through it, thinking I wouldn't find anything I didn't already know. Instead, I found myself stopping at each chapter to let the meaning sink in and to pray for understanding.

I realize this is a very subjective review, but with a book like this, I imagine everyone's personal experience will be different. Some of the questions in the book will certainly apply to everyone. I've spoken with quite a few people who have read Ten Prayers God Always Says Yes To, and every single one has gotten a lot out of it and was glad to have read it. In fact, I've bought a number of them as much appreciated gifts.

Every Christian must buy this book - no matter what religion you are - buy it! It is actually a book that the LORD will answered and how you how He will answered them - but the LORD isn't a errand boy that He will answered all of your prayers - He will either say "Yes", "No", or "I have something better in mind for you". This book contained prayers that He will say "Yes" to, for example: "God, show me that you're real" or "God, lead me to my Destiny" or "God forgive me" and explains why He will answered these prayers.

I really enjoyed this book. It is was easy to read and right on with how I have found prayers that were answered. I will be re-reading this because the explanations of the simple prayer was meaningful. Just saying a few of these prayers right away before finishing the book, I could see the response quickly. I did find the last prayer and the writing quite insightful as though I was listening to someone that had experienced so much in life and then touched the core of who we are. The author sprinkled some bible verses to backup the prayers. I purchased the Kindle version but I will be purchasing a hard copy. I think it would be a great gift too.

All ten prayers are helpful and give answers.I like to try some different prayers that I usually dont use regularly to see if answers still arrive and they do. Christianity above all the world religions, except buddahism, concerns itself with suffering. The suffering Christ went through on the cross, to name only a few things he suffered, shows us he is familiar with it and can have empathy with ours.This is the prayer that DeStefano uses in chapter 4 I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE! God, get me through this suffering.This prayer has helped in more situations than I can count in the last 2 months. Physical and emotional and spiritual suffering are included.Even the spiritual problem of pride has weakened under the influence of this prayer. Do I think this book is the best one I have read in many years? YES

I have gone through this book and enjoyed every moment of it. I was shocked at myself for never asking an obvious question as to whether or not God existed. I love this book and have purchased another for my niece. Right now, I am waiting for her opinion. She is the Religion Editor for her city's newspaper. I can hardly wait for her feedback.

This was such a wonderful book to read. The author presents the prayers in such a simplistic but thought provoking way that it opens your mind up to new possibilities. I was also amazed at the what the author made me look at the death of Christ. The way he explained it completely broke my heart over our savior's sacrifice deeper than it has ever been broken before. I think every Christian should read this book. I plan to read it many times.

I also have now added the great prayer that the author wrote to combine all ten prayers as part of my daily morning an evening prayer recital. I am thankful for such a wonderful book. It shall remain one of my all-time favorite reads:)

I thought this book would be light and easy reading. Although it was easy, the concepts were deep, profound and timeless. If you are looking for a book that will show you how to live life well, read this book.
