This book was one of two textbooks for a Bible institute class I took. The concepts challenged me in many ways, and made me more cognizant of God's expectations for worship. I am trying to apply the concepts in my own life.

Gary Reimers provides a well researched, thoroughly Biblical, in-depth look at worship, from understanding the true object of worship, to seeing how all parts of a church service are all about worship. This is a must read - and then spend some time thinking about what you've read and putting it into action.

This book has challenged my thinking once again????. Gary, thank you for being so true to God's Word. Thank you for pointing us in the best direction.

A much needed and reasonable approach to this complex subject. Broad in its examination yet focused in its application. Dr. Reimers dispels much of the illogical and indefensible practices that are characterized today as worship and makes a case for worship whose purpose is not to please man but is designed to give glory to God alone.

Dr. Reimers does a thorough job laying out the biblical purposes behind worship. The book is extremely helpful for the serious Bible student who wants to evaluate his personal and corporate worship time (styles and procedures). It's short, easy to follow, and worth the price.

This book was hard to follow and, I think, was meant to be a textbook for Bob Jones University students. There were a couple of good places in the book that I thought would be going somewhere theologically but tragically it fell short. It's a small book, only 100 pages, and it failed to provide the great theological information I wanted to read on Post-Modern worship.

Reimers is well educated with a very conservative approach to Bible interpretation. He sources his material in exegesis rather than the eisegesis many modern evangelicals are looking for. Worship is the center of the Christian life. It must be done correctly in a corporate and personal setting the God wants.
