Athletes can have faith as well, be proud of it and sing it from the roof tops. Athletes are seen as being superior, seen as being cool and seen as trendsetters. If believing in a higher power is cool, then these stories will resonate with you. If you are questioning tough people do not have time for God, then read this book. WE all live busy lives and athletes are no exception--the only difference is that we see them on T.V, newspapers and in magazines for their job is in the headlines. What I found interesting in these stories is that they make time in their hectic lives for God, for finding faith through tough times, through trials and through tests--tests that WE all go through. The athlete is no different than you and I, yes they have perks and connections we may never obtain, but that is what makes these stories so relevant, so compelling to me. Being honest, being a good neighbor, being faithful to your spouse, working hard on the job; all of these are true on the court and field as they are in the office, the hospital etc....Triumph! is rising above our own identities and placing belief in God, family, friends and loved ones.....I am a huge fan of this author---

Pat Williams new book has great stories about people who are known and people you may never heard off. Breaking the book down into sections like He did made it a book you don't have to read front to back but you can read any story you feel like reading at any given time. Pat is my favorite author so i might be biased but his books over the years have always been inspirational and helpful. I have never met Pat personally but thru His books i can say He is a mentor to me. Triumph is just another quality book by Pat that be helpful to anyone who reads it.
