I am studying sparkling wine for my WSET Diploma, this book has a great description of the making of champagne. The author makes it abundantly clear that he is the first American to be a part owner in a Champagne House.

I almost felt I was reading a marketing book for his wine. But that being said, he is well informed and even gives statistics on sales, plantings, etc. He also explains the Cru areas. I learned a great deal from the book. I also went on line to find out something about his Champagne

I learned a great deal from the book. I also went on line to find out something about his Champagne. Never found anything--did the company fold or what. If you seek good strong background on Champagne this is a book for you. Just remember he is pushing his product throughout. Shipping was fast and the book was well packaged.
