I enjoyed the book so much that I read it in one sitting.. Worked there for many years back in the old days , so the history and pictures brought back a lot of good memories, The book is well written and includes several of their recipes. I have been purchasing Ms. LaFray's cook books since 1981 and all are excellent and among my favorites.
Reading the book woke up my taste buds, so a couple of days later, my wife and I drove down to Tampa for a romantic overnighter, staying at their Epicurean Hotel and walking across the street that night to Bern's for the best steak for two in the country.

Not exactly what i thought it would be, but it is still a good book. Unfortunately, the first one arrived damaged due to the lack of proper packaging, but Amazon swapped out books and now i am a happy camper.

Purchased as a gift and was very well received. Nice book with a lot of history of Bern's Steak House.
