Replace your "notebook" cookbook ... that basic one you have. This is FAR better. A great cookbook with basic recipes -- all of which are easy to prepare, very cost effective, and taste great! Wish I had this when my children were growing up. It would have made all those class picnics and school pot lucks much easier. Can't say enough good things about this cookbook; I don't think there are enough good descriptor words available in English to handle the job. Although it sounds like I'm exaggerating, I'm not. The Church Supper Cookbook would be worth at least twice the price.

The instructions are clear and concise and most recipes specify the number of servings they will provide. Some cookbooks do not and that is very frustrating! The photographs are well done...bright and colorful, though I'd like to see more of them. I am thoroughly enjoying seeing where the recipes come from, many from towns I know well. Having been raised in the country, and having attended many church suppers, I'm feeling a little homesick while using this wonderful cookbook, but that's a positive, not a negative. I gladly recommend "The Church Supper Cookbook"!

We have a church potluck every Sunday and I am always trying to come up with new ideas.. every recipe I have ever tried has been a success from this book.. The Tiny Pecan Pies are fantastic and cheaper than a pecan pie. This is a winning book. Who needs pictures? It's the recipes that count.

I love cookbooks and when I saw this one I had to have it. I am going to start a side cookbook collection of Church cookbooks and this one is awesome. It has a lot of northern recipes that I have never heard of before, but am ready to try.
