Early childhood education (ECE; also nursery education) is a branch of education theory that relates to the teaching of children (formally and informally) from birth up to the age of eight. Traditionally, this is up to the equivalent of third grade. ECE emerged as a field of study during the Enlightenment, particularly in European countries with high literacy rates. It continued to grow through the nineteenth century as universal primary education became a norm in the Western world.

I used this text book in my college classes. It is well laid out and the information gives a broad overview of what to expect in the early childhood classroom. I found the price difference between Amazon's used and new textbooks to be significantly cheaper than my college bookstore. When I was finished with my books Amazon bought them back.

The book was a steal. I was very pleased with the price and condition of the book. My only is how much the book is highlighted. It makes it hard to read. Overall great purchase.
Umsida
