I basically ordered this because I enjoyed it back in the summer of 1980 when I got it from my high school library, while working part time shelving & such. Got so many giggles from it then - I'm laughing again, but from a changed perspective … especially at how awkward the author's prose has become with time. Still are plenty of funny critiques, don't get me wrong: Alakazam The Great, New Moon, Jamaica Inn, Boy Did I Get A Wrong Number, Three On A Couch, The Last Movie, Myra Breckinridge …

Very interesting book!

Rarely has a book given me the continuous laughter that this one provided! The wry wit and "courage" to take "classics" and show their glaring deficiencies was a constant delight. My only regret is that there was no later edition.

Some of it's fun, some of it feels like someone pushing their own (middle-brow) agenda.

Great book about lousy A to Z-list films. The authors dissect these stinkers in an amusing way. A fun read. Highly recommended for fans of lousy movies.

I am a sci-fi "B" movie fanatic. This is a great listing of some of the best of the worst films. There is a Plot Summary, Immortal Dialogue and Critic Reviews for each movie. There is quite a bit of information for each film. I have a couple of books like this and was pleased to find out that there wasn't a lot of duplication from one book to another.

The reviews are more scathing than factual, and the Medveds are sometimes simply hurtful
