Me and my wife got this out of curiosity. Needless to say we were impressed. After two weeks, we haven't even been able to play all of the games contained within. It's quite nice for a simple one on one games night. Or just to pass the time. We play cards while we talk about our day. The other nice part is having friends over and experimenting with a few games to find a new favorite. I think anyone in the market should consider this and a couple nice decks of cards as a birthday present.

Loved this book

Perfect size book-neither too big & clumsy nor too small with hard to read print. It has nice thick quality white paper and clear color illustrations. It is just right for me.

I'm sure this book has a number of entertaining card games, but it did not have the ones I like to play such as Hand and Foot and Shanghai Rummy to name a couple. So for me, this wasn't the right choice.

:-)
Not for the inexperienced or novice player. The book uses terminology that is not explained. It assumes the reader has played cards before and is familiar with the terms. I had to download a list of terms from the Internet just to get started. The book uses slightly archaic English, but is well-written. This is a good brush-up book for somebody wanting clarification of rules and play.
