Light out of Fildon

But still an excellent story. I put the series somewhere in the high fantasy/science fantasy region because the universe isn't random and there is no deus ex machina. If that's the sort of book you like, then this is the series to look at. Even so, I'd go with the paper versions rather than the e-book versions.

Mr.Bean

This book carries on the tale of Nevyn and co in the magical Deverry world. The tempo is different from the earlier novels; faster, slower - I am not sure; but different. The characters are good. The plot was a bit rambling. The style was typical of K. Kerr. In short, if you enjoyed the first cycle you'll probably enjoy this.

Moonworm

A little confusing to follow at some points but truly remarkable in the revealing of more tidbits of what promises to be a grand story. Traveling back in time to see more of the strange Wyrds that govern our beloved hero’s an the love and loss they experience again and again. This series has a way of giving hope that we will all be reunited with our loved ones in the next life and in the many lives to come.

One of a multivolume series. Start at the beginning to get the most out of it. Good fantasy series.

Anyshoun

Absolutely addicted to the series! The characters names are a bit of a struggle but after a bit they flesh out with well defined personalities. A great “world” painted with brilliant words ringing with a wide range of emotions.

Kulasius

I've been reading this series since 1998, and love it. Having it available in eBook format is a fantastic plus; I'm on limited space, and need to cut back on the physical volumes.

Unfortunately, this Kindle edition - unlike the physically printed "dead tree" edition - is marred by myriad typos and formatting errors. Some of them are minor (using the wrong apostrophe for abbreviations; hyphenation marks where they don't belong); some are more significant (spelling mistakes, probably from OCR errors that weren't caught on a proof-read; poor text flow - missing paragraph breaks and similar.)

The book itself - indeed, the entire series - is a fantastic read, and well worth the asking price. Sadly, the eBook edition needs more polish before it can be called a properly finished product. The same applies to the other three books in the Westlands cycle of the overall series (I haven't yet bought the other 11 books for my Kindle.)

If you like a saga drenched in celtic lore you will like this series. The author has given much time to research and the series is one of my favorite all time ones. I will re-read this again, getting involved with the characters and the demographics was a great journey, I highly encourage readers of fantasy to take a deep breath and dive into this with reckless abandon- you won't be disappointed.
