I have been reading Witch World since the series began these many years ago. It is always a tragedy when such a heart place dies with its dreamer and Andre Norton was so generous and careful when she shared her vision.
Lyn McConchie is the best of those who continued Witch Worlds stories. Ciaara's Song is one both of Home and future. Well worth the read. Not rip roaring sword and Sorcery, but that wasn't Norton anyway. This is bravery and people and decency.
I'll read anything with Lyns name on it knowing she is true to Andre's vision.

Brazil

Story is told mostly by the main character. This story also fills in some of the gaps in what happened to whom after their stories were told. There is some history then as the tales progress.

Thetalune

As always, Andre Norton's books are enjoyable even when set in a dark time in the history of her "world". Lyn McConchie helps keep up the tradition of strong female characters and this book fills in some gaps in the events leading up to the "turning".

Usually, when you read a fantasy novel, it usually entails journeying through perilous lands to reach a goal. Not here, it's about a Keep's family trying to survive the predations of those around them. The ending was a bit weak though, but overall a strong heart felt story.
