Her father committed suicide when she was born and her mother's mental health deteriorated with her violent outbursts becoming progressively worse. This led to Marian spending her childhood in and out of harsh institutions or living in squalor and starvation with her mum and having to beg or rob to survive.

Marian's sisters and brother disappeared and she was left to support her deranged and violent mother, who was eventually certified insane. Format Paperback 320 pages.
