I inherited O'Leary's book about navy fighters from my dad and always enjoyed the details so when I saw this set at Powell's, I snatched it right up. The book has details about the development of USAAF fighters starting with the P-35 and ending with the XP-83. This is a really good reference.

This 3 volume set covers all the fighters for the Army Air Force used or developed during WW2 and covers fighters from P-35's through the P-83.
This set is an excellent reference for aviatin enthusiasts and modelers although not having any color photos or detailed drawings. It makes up for that with some photos I had not seen in anywhere in other publications on some aircraft and good articles on the planes. Some of the written material may have to be updated due to recent material discovered from newer books. But it is a good quick reference on the USAAF aircraft from WW2.
As it has been out of print for years you may have trouble finding a set.

I found the book to be in very good condition. I am very satisfied with my purchase. The only flaw I found was at the back of the book where the seam was torn. Thank you.
