book was good
This copy is a replacement for the previous one which was loaned out or hiding somewhere. The quilts presented are pretty simple to construct and good for projects that need to be fairly quick, projects to use up stash, projects for beginners, and the like. Good choices of color and print make these attractive and interesting, though easy to assemble.
Well worth the price. Some duplicate designs but also different ones. Great book too as to my sewing room shelf.
is a nice quilt book
Very easy to understand.
I have made several quilts from this book and they all got rave reviews! A friend was so intrigued with a pattern, I bought this book for her. She can hardly wait to make her quilt!
great ant
found the exact pattern i was looking for
I've been sewing for quite a few years, but not made many quilts. I really like this for its ideas. I'm presently making one of the quilts pictured on the front cover. It's the one pictured lower right with green, blue, aqua, orange & red (altho I've substituted a purple and mauve instead of the orange & red.) They're a water-colory print and really look dilicious together. I spent much of yesterday cutting the 4 and 1/2 inch strips, and a few 2 and 1/2 inch strips (for borders). I think it's going to go together quickly and easily. I'm one of the few ppl who don't yet have a rotary cutter, so I like the quick method of cutting and sewing in strips and then cutting again into blocks once the strips are sewn together. I think this book would be especially liked by others new to quilting. UPDATE: I have since gotten a rotary cutter and one of the clear rulers along with it which has made the cutting process go so much faster! I was able to cut the sewn strips of the quilt I'm working on in such a short amount of time! Still making that quilt that's on the front cover of this book. The instructions are very simple to follow. I admit I haven't done alot of quilting yet because the prospect of all the cutting, and all the complicated configurations seem daunting.

This book has 20 quilt patterns in a variety of colors and design. And now that I have a rotary cutter, I see that that makes quilt making a whole lot easier.
