X-MEN
A must read for anyone considering adding an African grey to their household!

She writes with a twinkle in her eye, you can feel it through the pages, and she tells the bold, unadulterated truth about living with a grey. I would highly recommend this for grey owners - you will see a LOT of your own bird between the pages, and for anyone considering a grey - you will either run out and get one, or run for the hills, but you will definitely walk away with a very accurate idea of what it is like to live with a feathered toddler on a daily basis.

I cannot say enough good things about this book, as a grey companion. Lots of laughter included - you have to have a LARGE sense of humor to live with a grey!

I loved this entertaining story about the author's pet African Grey Parrot. His amazing and off-beat grasp of the English language will keep you in hysterics and wanting more. I intend to buy the next book in the series because this one was so much fun.

After reading this in ebook format, I ordered two more print copies to give as gifts--I like the book that much! If you don't already know about African Greys, you will come away with a new appreciation of their intelligence...and in Pickles' case, his naughty sense of humor. No, really. After reading this, I don't think it's just a doting owner projecting her affections, I think the bird is the real deal. The author has done an awesome job of showing us Pickles' delightful personality, as well as her own. Kudos! Keep 'em coming.

As an owner of a 15 year old very socialized and smart Congo grey. This book is cute but also very hard to believe. The author is a great story teller but I had a really hard time buying that pickles was as intelligent as the author claims. They are very smart birds but the stories feel very far fetched.

I cannot remember when I have laughed so much reading a book! I own a parrot, and I found Pickle's words and behavior very realistic, especially for an African Grey Congo parrot. A must-read for anyone that knows and understands the behavior of parrots.
