I received my order of this book within a few days in great condition. It is a lovely little book to hold in your hands. The story is said to be based in research and I could imagine much of it to be true. How different the Arabian was from the other British horses of the time. And the devotion of the horse and his groom is a story played out every day in every stable though some of the stories may be exaggerated for the effect.

I would recommend this book if your are at all curious about how the Founding Stallions of the Thoroughbred found their way to England.

A great little booklet about a very influential stallion in the history of the Thoroughbred breeding industry.

I enjoyed reading this engrossing tale of one of the three major foundation sires of the English Thoroughbred - It was written in an absorbing and fascinating way, although I can't help but wonder how quite so much ancient history was able to be researched so thoroughly.

This is a facinating account of the origins of the thorobred horse. It recounts the Goldolphin Arabian's birth and takes you on a exotic trip through history. Pictures are vidid in the descriptions of the era and the excitement of those times.

I have always been intrigued by the horse and even more so after reading this great book.
