Jonathan Kellerman is one of my favorite authors. His protagonists consist of a team of two-one is a detective in the LAPD Homicide Department, and his partner is a psychologist friend who works on a contract basis with LAPD. THUS PSYCHOLOGIST, Alex Delaware, has an astute mind, along with the Detective, Milo Sturgis. This fictional novel begins with a case where two loner-type victims are killed in a similar manner, but otherwise, they have nothing at all in common. Milo and Alex Delaware eventually put the pieces to the puzzle together, but at the risk of their lives. This novel, as most of Kellerman's novels, have most peculiar twists, but at the end, it all makes sense. If you love psychological mysteries with a lot of action and good character development, PLEASE READ JONATHAN KELLERMAN'S BOOKS!!!
basically like what Jonathan Kellerman writes. I lOVE his charctersand how they fit into interiging stories. You once get to know them and can't wait to findd out what is going to happen next. I am so happy they are on Kindle. That is really the only way I wish to read a book now that I have been totally hooked on my Kindle. I use oher devices for work or o†her necessary †hings, then it comes my time, it is with my kindle and perhaps one of Kellerman's books. I can say he has done some great work as far as I am concerned. I relax and enjoy! You who haven't tried it should. there is so much stews in our world today, I find his books just keep me glued and relaxed at the same time!
As every single Jonathan Kellerman Alex Delaware novels, this is another first-class story woven and written by a talented man with a very rich imagination. All of his books are winners and this is no exception. I've almost worked my way through all 30 books in the series and find myself trying to read slower so I won't finish them faster than Mr. Kellerman writes them. What a mind he has!!!!
I have read many of Kellerman's books. Some I have really enjoyed but others didn't do a lot for me. This book, however, was vastly enjoyable. I work in criminal justice and I have a degree in psychology (emphasis on abnormal psychology), so a novel involving police procedures and psychological abnormalities seemed right up my alley. I was not disappointed. Kellerman's regulars, Alex Davenport and Milo Sturgis, are at their best, trying to solve an old murder and at the same time unlock the mind of a profoundly disturbed inmate at a mental facility. Sturgis is still one of my favorite law enforcement characters, at once dry and acerbic but entirely likable. Davenport is smoother, but the two play off each other very effectively. There were moments when I actually laughed out loud (drawing odd looks from my husband). At times the story becomes somewhat predictable, but it is completely entertaining nonetheless. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good suspensful read with plenty of humor and some very memorable characters.
Swift Summer
This was one of the best Alex Delaware series .
The characters and plot was written with a different type of theme.
The ending was not at all what the reader would expect.
Disturbing, horrifying, yet I am unable to put this down. It makes a believer out of me with respect to the book title. Kudos to Letterman for another well written psychological thriller.
Scary book, but held my attention totally until I finished. Couldn't put it down
Usually love Jonathon Kellerman but this one I just didn't enjoy and struggled to finish.
