A collection of three Famous Five adventure stories in one volume. The friends follow the tracks of a ghostly train in FIVE GO OFF TO CAMP; FIVE GET INTO TROUBLE sees Dick being mistaken for someone else - and kidnapped; and how will the friends rescue Timmy and George in FIVE FALL INTO ADVENTURE? It came on time, well-packaged and in very good condition.

Enid Blyton knows how to write a suspenseful book and always in an interesting location like on the Moors. You feel as if you are right there with the children experiencing the adventure. It's a fun book whether you're first reading it as a child or years later as an adult.

It's written back some years, but it doesn't matter. It's still an adventure-although in these days, you couldn't live like that and go off without parental protection.

I read this book for nostalgic value having originally read it 40 years ago when I was a child.
It was most enjoyable, although slightly far fetched. Why would the bad guys go to all the time and effort to fire up and run a steam engine (it takes a couple of hours to raise a fire and heat the water in the boiler to build up sufficient steam to move a train) just to haul a few dozen boxes a distance of about two miles? It would have been much easier to drive a truck through the tunnel.
Nonetheless it is still a fascinating adventure for the Famous Five to solve.
Definitely recommended.

As formulaic as any other novel for kids or adults - Grisham and LeCarre could both learn a lesson about complete storytelling here, but what the hey, they and others make the big bucks, so what do I know. Enid Blyton was an excellent writer. She engages, delights, scares, and gives us the release of the success of her characters. Read these books as a kid. A treat to relive my childhood in the sixties in England. Also, the series provides a look into the thoughts, beliefs, relationships, and character of the period. Entertaining reading. Kids today, and their parents, may find many levels of discourse here, but mainly they are just fun to read.

My Mom recommended these series for my 10 year old and we absolutely loved it. The kindle edition is affordable...I believe the paperbacks are out of print or expensive

I introduced my niece to these books and she reads them voraciously. Though the times in these series are dated.. it still mesmerizes the young readers..

Read these books in junior high. Good stories that take you to their adventures. Planning to buy the whole collection.
What an adventure I wish I could have. I know just the place where it could've happened. Well done Enid Blyton!
