Kelley Armstrong (Author), Mia Barron (Narrator), Erik Davies (Narrator), Inc. Blackstone Audio (Publisher) & 1 more. I really liked the stories that provided history for some of the lesser characters that we encounter in the Otherworld series, such as Council characters. I also loved the backstory that was provided on Eve and Kristof and how their relationship formed and then disintegrated.

I hadn’t yet decided whether that was a sign of success or stupidity.

I hadn’t yet decided whether that was a sign of success or stupidity ternoon teaching defensive spells to suburbanite teen witches who’d be better off learning karate. Given that it took them five minutes to cast a successful binding spell, I really hoped they never got cornered in a dark alley. But their mommies wanted them to learn-and were too busy to teach the girls themselves-so I oblige. or a price.

War is coming to the Otherworld. Now Armstrong tellsthe captivating tale of a young woman with an insatiable lust for danger. A sinister cult known as The Supernatural Liberation Movement is hell-bent on exposing the truth about supernaturals to the rest of the world. Their violent, ruthless plan has put everyone at risk: from werewolves to vampires, from witches to half-demons. In her acclaimed Women of the Otherworld series, Kelley Armstrong has created a scintillating realm where the supernatural and the human coexist on the edge of darkness, romance, and eternity. She can't help it. It's in her blood.

Kelley Armstrong (born 14 December 1968) is a Canadian writer, primarily of fantasy novels since 2001. She has published thirty-one fantasy novels to date, thirteen in her Women of the Otherworld series, five in her Cainsville series, four in her Rockton series, three in her Darkest Powers series, three in her Darkness Rising trilogy and three in the Age of Legends series, and three stand-alone teen thrillers.

Kelley Armstrong's gripping and imaginative short stories are brought together in a fantastic new collection. A young vampire learns the heavy price of his new existence; black witch Eve Levine meets Kristof Nast, her soul mate and her nemesis; Lucas Cortez, lawyer, sorcerer and unwilling heir to his father's Cabal, sets out on a case that will change his destiny; Paige Winterbourne discovers just how fraught a white (witch) wedding can be and Elena Michaels begins her. unwitting journey to a new life - as the only female werewolf in the world.

Have you ever wondered how lone wolf Clayton Danvers finally got bitten by the last thing he ever expected: love? Or how the hot-blooded bad-girl witch Eve Levine managed to ensnare the cold, ruthless corporate sorcerer, Kristof Nast in one of the Otherworld’s most unlikely pairings? Now, Otherworld readers can share these moments with some of their favorite characters—as well as catching welcome glimpses into the minds of some of the lesser-known players. Anthology contains: Birthright, Beginnings, Ghosts, Expectations, Wedding Bell Hell, The Case of El Chupacabra and a new story narrated by Eve.

Rebirth - How Aaron became a vampire and met Cassandra.

Bewitched - This is the story of how Eve and Kristof met and fell in love. And also the specifics concerning why she left him. Fair warning--it's as lovely as it is heartbreaking.

Birthright - Logan POV. How he joined the Pack.

Beginnings - At close to 200 pages this is closer to a short story than a novella (not that I'm complaining). It's included in the Tales of the Otherworld collection, and it is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.

I'm talking OMGOMG!! amazing.

It's the story of how Clay and Elena met and fell in love right up to where it all went to hell (you can read about the hell part in Becoming). It's told, alternating, from both Clay and Elena's POV, so it finally answers the question, "What was his thinking?!" a million times over. Was it a crap thing to do? Yes. Do I love, love, L-O-V-E him anyway? YES.

Expectations - From Lucas's POV, about a run-in he had with Eve in an attempt to steal one of her grimoires.

Ghosts - Jeremy POV from right after he sent Elena and Clay to Toronto in Bitten.

Wedding Bell Hell - Countdown to Lucas and Paige's wedding. Meh.

The Case of El Chupacabra - Lucas and Paige short story with a tiny bit of Sean Nast tossed in. About an alleged vampire killing and how Lucas and Paige came into possession of their office space.

I picked up (or as it were down-loaded) Tales of the Otherworld on a whim and because I've read some favorable comments about the series. While the majority of the stories were ok, I found some of the protagonists a bit juvenile and I also had some trouble with the shifting of perspectives between different first person narrators within the same story. But I absolutely, completely loved "Bewitched", the story of how Eve Levine and Kristof Nast meet. It's so beautiful, emotional and tragic, when at the end Eve leaves him so as not to have him make an impossible choice. I really wanted to find out how the story of these star-crossed lovers continued, so imagine my disappointment when I went online and found out, that Eve dies and their mutual daughter Savannah becomes the ward of Paige Winterbourne. After this hauntingly beautiful love story I don't want to read about Eve as a ghost, so I won't be picking up anymore of Kelley Armstrong's books.

This is pretty much just for existing fans of Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld series. If you're expecting stories with conflict-resolution, don't bother. These are small tidbits from the lives of characters already established, and I love it. I love that Armstrong writes for her audience, I love that she asks us what we want to read, I love that she published these for free for us, and I love that when we asked for a book, we got one. I especially love that she donates the proceeds to charity. There isn't anything about this book I would change, except - of course - for making it longer and with more stories.

Absolutely love this author! I have purchased every one of her books in the Otherworld series. This is the first one I've found in hardcover though! I love hardcover.

If you've followed the Otherworld series, this book (and Men of the Otherworld) are both must reads. They fill in information that we don't get from the series. The series is wonderful in and of itself, but being able to learn more about characters like Jeremy, Clayton, and Elena (including how Elena and Clayton met, finally!!!) make these two WELL WORTH the money. They are short stories about the characters and sucked me in from the word go. I love Kelley Armstrong. She began with natural talent and has developed into a better writer over the years. I've loved watching her grow and mature as a writer. I'm very impressed.

I enjoyed the elements of the story. I was driven to keep reading. Kelly's writing style intrigues me. I'd already read "Bitten" and truly enjoyed it. Watching the Syfy version of "Bitten" is what brought me to this author. I am grateful for the discovery. Kelly Armstrong writes The Otherworld series in the style of anthology. Didn't think I'd like that, but I was mistaken. She gives glimpses into the lives of her other supernatural characters while intersecting their lives. Like I said, intriguing. Try her.

Tales of the Otherworld combined two of my most favorite things: Kelley Armstrong's writing and short stories. I adored this collection. I really liked the stories that provided history for some of the lesser characters that we encounter in the Otherworld series, such as Council characters. I also loved the backstory that was provided on Eve and Kristof and how their relationship formed and then disintegrated.

I adored this book. I absolutely recommend it to Kelley Armstrong fans and fans of urban fiction. Even if you haven't read the Otherworld series, you can still pick up this book and enjoy the stories.
