The affluent owner of an historic steam locomotive and private railcar disappears with millions of dollars belonging to Moose County investors. 2 cassettes.
Love the quick reads always found in "The Cat Who" series of mysteries. I encourage you to read your way through the entire series. It is a very pleasant journey.

While you can read in any order or start with any book as each mystery stands alone, it is easier to catch the underlying beauty and uniqueness of this series if you begin at the very beginning.

They are not complex mind-benders or mysteries, but one does grow to appreciate the uniqueness of the characters and town. This series will sometimes make you laugh, and smile and cry and always leave you with a good redemptive story of good triumphing over evil in the end. And it is a fun journey while you dig through suspects, clues, and possibilities of "cat"astrophes.

Wish there were more coming.
This is number 17 in the series. If one has yet to read any of these "The Cat Who" mysteries, might I suggest that they begin with the very first one as each novel builds upon previous informtion in earlier novels. In The Cat Who Blew The Whistle, I think the readers will applaud the added interst of railroad language and lore. A recently restored historic steam locomotive is the newest attraction in Moose County. The excitement is eclipsed when the owner disappears, along with millions of investors dollars. Leave it to Koko and Yum Yum to give Qwill the much needed information in solving this murder mystery.
This is the 17th book in Lillian Jackson Braun's "The Cat Who..." series. In this book businessman, Floyd Trevelyan, disappears with the banks money and Qwill is on the case along with his Siamese detective cat, Koko, and his undercover spy Celia Robinson. These books are lots of fun to read and draw you right into the action. I love these characters and occasionally Mrs Braun kills off some of the major characters and I actually feel sad. These books are mysteries but appropriate for just about any age.
Such a cute and engaging story. Loved the twist and turns in this one. Very clever. I highly recommend this installment.
I love all The Cat Who books. I miss Lilian Jackson Braun so much. RIP. I wish someone would finish her last book she was writing. I wish someone would write some more books of Qwill, KoKo and YumYum. They wouldn't be as good but at least the stories could continue.
Great story! Every book introduces new characters. Some stay on and live in Mooseville and others are the unfortunate victims of the mystery. This one adds in the nostalgia of old steam engines. I love these books! No blood and gore. Not nightmare material. Just enough mystery to keep you reading!
All the cat books are great. This is the third time I'm reading them.
Celia Robinson moves to Pickax and become Qwill's secret agent. Qwill rides the train. It is a steam engine restored and very elegant set up as a fundraiser for the college. The man who restored the stram engine disappears with all the money from his bank.

Qwill, Koko, and Celia Robinson solve this one. Polly stays in the background and we find out why at the end of the book.

I enjoyed this enstallment of, "The Cat Who..." series. You will too!
