I do not read romances - any other than the ones by Victoria Holt; I've been reading her books since I was in my teens! She is a fabulous writer, creates strong characters - her female protagonists are in 1st person, smart women whose roles one can easily and joyfully metamorphose into! Ms Holt uses all the elements of a great story: suspense, mystery, interesting realistic characters, and accurate historical scenes - it's just a joy to forget oneself in her books.

Only three of her books are available on Kindle; I don't understand why they aren't all made available. Those are unavailable, except for a copy here and there on ebay, for thousands of dollars. I wish the owners to her rights would publish these books, and Kindle the Holt books! :)
