Potty Poo-poo Wee-wee! ebook

by Colin McNaughton

Potty Poo-Poo Wee-Wee! book.

Potty Poo-Poo Wee-Wee! book. Littlesaurus laughed and laughed and sang very loudly, "Potty poo-poo wee-wee!" And the Daddysaurus said, "Shush. It's rude to say it so loud.

It's a FUN and laughable BOOK.

An all-dinosaur cast, dressed in scattered items of clothing and suspended in pastel colored space, gathers ‘round to tut-tut as Littlesaurus repeatedly "does a poo" where he pleases, then walks away, bellowing out the title announcement. Extra delighted to learn from Grannysaurus that Daddysaurus used to do the same, Littlesaurus does finally decide to use the stone potty (which looks like an ashtray, only turquoise) when he sees that Daddysaurus is really upset-whereupon everyone shouts out the chorus together.

Great book on early potty training!

Funny and rude book that really helped with potty training.

I don't review things very often, but looking at what has already been written, I felt inspired. I think it is hilarious that people either love or hate this book. And I think most people will know which camp they are in. If you are an uptight family that thinks poop is a bad word, this is probably not the book for you. But if you are a fun loving family that thinks yelling potty poopoo weewee might actually be fun to read (as I do), you are gonna love it. Children have enough control in their lives. I love books that encourage stepping out with alot of fun and even irreverence! My daughter is having a blast looking through the book and finding the poops. Then I ask, "Did he put it in the potty?" And she says, "Noooo." And I say, "Not yet, he is still figuring it out." Then she cheers for him at the end. :)

I also love it that the teacher and sister say things like, he will come along in his own time and don't make a fuss about it. I didn't like what the neighbor had to say, but then again, I think this book highlights the range of things people might say, and even the icky ones can provide an opportunity to say, wow, that wasn't very nice. I saw the people yelling the phrase at the end as more like excited acknowledgement. But then absolutely loved that Littlesaurus had the spunk to call them on it! Oh, and the dino names in the book are also very funny.

My three year old poo-poo. He poo-poo on the floor. I didn't use the words that were written in this book. I made my own words up. I would tell him poo-poo in the potty, it's rude to poo-poo on the floor. I would day that it took us almost two weeks to start seeing results. He says to me, "Poo-poo in the potty!" He knows now that he is suppose to go in the potty. He no longer goes on the floor, but sometimes he goes poo-poo in the underwear.

We got this book at the library and I thought what the heck, I will give it a try. While to Dino goes poo poo on the floor, it got my toddler to start talking about poo poo and pee pee. We have read it twice a day for a week now. He loves it. And he likes to say "That's RUDE" more than Potty POO POO WEE WEE.

Anyway Love the book and I am looking to buy!!!! It is the ONLY book I found to get him interested in poo poo and pee pee going anywere but in his diaper. :)

We are in the midst of potty training and found this book at our local library. What seemed cute at initial glance turned to horror on the playground as I found my daughter telling other children "Potty Poo Poo Wee Wee" and other parents saying "WHAT DID SHE JUST SAY?" I should never have brought this book home. Apparently a dinosaur (Littlesauraus)refuses to potty train and just likes to call out this phrase at inappropriate times. He's disrespectful to relatives and neighbors and all he is told is "Shhhhh, that's rude". He only decides to use the potty after his father loses his temper (always a great idea in potty training) and yelling at his child "I don't care if you never use the potty." Of course, he does at the end, but then all the adults yell the catch phrase at him - where's the logic in that? Smooth idea, repeatedly tell your child NOT to say something because it's rude and then say it yourself. Next thing you know we'll have books where adults tell kids not to swear then turn around it do it to them. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR POTTY TRAINING OR READING AT ALL!

Potty-training a toddler is challeging enough without insipid material such as this book out on the market. This book encourages your 'littlesaurus' to have a bowel movement on the floor, scream out "potty poo-poo wee-wee", and wear his potty on his head. While the adults in his world refer to him as "rude". At the end of the book, the adults then yell "potty poo-poo wee-wee", a phrase they have been trying to discourage. The pinnacle of bad taste is when his grandmother steps on a BM pile. Mixed messages run amok in this book. I believe it will actually set toddlers and thier parents back in potty-training goals.
This is a great book! It's funny and my 2 year old loves it! It does not send mixed messages regardless of what a prior review might say. Before a toddler will potty train they will do everything with their potty but actually use it for what they are supposed to which is what the book is explaining. It's a FUN and laughable BOOK. I'm buying it for a friend's son for Christmas since he loves Dinosaurs. I highly recommend this book for you and your child's viewing pleasure.
