The United Kingdom is a unitary state with devolution that is governed within the framework of a parliamentary democracy under a constitutional monarchy in which the monarch, currently Queen Elizabeth II, is the head of state while the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, currently Boris Johnson, is the head of government.
Politics in this sense refers to the activities of conflict, cooperation and negotiation . These states have also been dominated by motivated and relatively uncorrupt developmental elites.
Politics in this sense refers to the activities of conflict, cooperation and negotiation involved in the use, production and distribution of resources, whether material or ideal, and whether at local, national and international levels. All development is inescapably political. The common features that unite these otherwise disparate state states may point to a preliminary model of the developmental state. Whether democratic or not, developmental states have all been de facto or de jure one-party states for much of the past thirty years.
