We got this for our 8 year old. She really enjoys these search and finds. She has a different one and liked it a lot. So I got her a different one for when she finishes the other. The pages on these are thick. The images are challenging enough that she enjoys them without getting extremely frustrated with them. In other words, she can find most of the stuff without help. Once in a while she will get a stumper and asks someone to help her look.
The images are two pages wide, with a column down the side with a list of the items you are supposed to find. Also they will do about 10 puzzles with a character that is common to each image that you need to find. After about 10 it switches to a different character that is hidden in the image.

The only thing we had trouble with in the last book, was a few of the pages came unglued and were falling out. So that was kind of annoying.

Bought this for myself so I could have something to pass the time on those long days, and I must say, it can be a real puzzler at times! Mine came with some light wear, and some markings already on some pages, but overall this was a good purchase. I would definitely recommend this for younger children as well. Big colorful pages of hidden objects will keep anyone interested!

My son loves these books - we previously had recieved two of the other "the Big book of..." series and he wanted this one and loves it - the book is huge and will definately take him a long time to finish! To give you an idea on size - I would say length & width wise it is about the size of a sheet of regular paper - so 8.5"x 11".. but its THICK.. i would say 1.5" thick easily.

I have all 3 books. I love all 3 of them and wishing that thd stores will continue to recieve differents. For a special needs adult its hard to sit in the car doing nothing but talking. But not me, I can sit, talk , an Search n find things.. these will keep you occupied for hours! Will eventually get more.
Bye the way I never get books tooread just these fun BOOKs :)
