This book was excellent for having my 3rd graders learn how to do a research report on animals. The information was useful and easy to find. The text was readable and students were successful.

We bought this for my son's kindergarten classroom, but read it before bringing it in. My 7 year old son read it with ease, and there were enough 'sight words' in it for my 5 year old to read some as well.

So adorable and informative

This is a very nice little book. Great pictures in the kind of bright colors one would
expect from a National Geographic product. So glad I ordered it!

My 2 year old LOVES this entire series of Nat. Geo Readers... I have purchased about 25 different titles, "pre-readers" as well as Level 1 & 2 readers. She loves them all & will ask for certain ones. The "pre-readers" level books are extremely simple & great because she memorizes the words & can "read" it herself. We love the more advanced ones too, because there is more information to talk about. I have learned quite a few facts, myself!) What a great series. The price is reasonable & pictures are great. These are really getting her interested in nature, animals & science... I will continue to buy these as they are released, for our collection!

Informative book written on a level that my first grade grandson can read and enjoy. It is educational and full of pictures that this age likes. I would recommend this book for young readers.
