All papers originated in two international workshops that were organized in the University of Munich on July 6-7, 1989, and on January 11 - 12, 1990. Klaus Felix Zimmermann (born in Göppingen on December 2, 1952) is a German economist and emeritus professor of economics at Bonn University. Additionally, he is a honorary professor at Maastricht University, the Free University of Berlin and the Renmin University of China as well as president of the Global Labor Organization.

To contribute to a scarce literature, in particular for developing and emerging economies, we study the nature of measured risk attitudes and their consequences for migration.
