For those of you who have seen 500 Days of Summer, this shooting script helps complete the experience? Is it essential? no. Is it spectacularly compelling? yes. The script provides incite into the characters in an intriguing way and it is very cool to see a deconstruction of a film. Reading the script, then watching the movie provides a measure of appreciation to what is accomplished by film makers. The introduction by the writers and directors also provides some nice incite. Overall, this is a purchase for a fan of the film and it wouldn't hurt if you have a general interest in film anyway. A must have for aspiring screenwriters and actors.

Love the movie! Love the soundtrack! Love the script!
The script reads like the movie; very humorous and very visual. Also includes a few pages with images from the movie (including behind the scenes pics), as well as an introduction by the director and forewords by each of the writers. I was intrigued by the structure of the story and how it and the visuals from the movie were represented on paper--it helped to see it on script form, essentially broken down. I'd recommend it to anyone who loves the movie and enjoys reading screenplays.
