This account of HISTORY is what I was looking for. I wanted a FACTUAL, more complete, realistic accounting of the history of our forefathers move to a new land. I also wanted the true facts of the American journey since then. So many textbooks are a politically re-written account of events that leave out out much of our ancestors religious convictions and important events relating to their belief systems. This book includes various religious expressions and attempts to be factual, including historical events from old, out of print, history books that are not found in the newer PC ones. It is a HUGE, wonderful book with a great quality, sturdy binding and filled with beautiful pictures, illustrations & charts! I keep it on my coffee table instead of the bookcase. I highly recommend this very well written book. As a homeschool teacher, this book can be used for more than 1 grade as a foundation to build other studies off of. (It is important to note... The large hardcover book is also sold as a paperback book, but it is split into 2 volumes because of the size & weight. Both formats contain the same contents. If you are buying a paperback, you need Vol 1 & 2. I made the mistake of buying the paperback Vol 1 first because it was cheaper, not realizing it was just 1/2 of the book.)

It served it's purpose greatly in my US History 1 College class. For a cheap price used, you're getting a book that you could knock someone out with how many pages it has.
