I bought this book because it was required for one of my nursing classes. The book came in good shape and I was pleased with that. The content of the book itself....is a bit dry, long winded, and to be desired. I don't feel that it complimented my learning and I would not buy this book if it was not otherwise required for the class.

This book is wordy but comprehensive, introducing many issues facing nurse manager.

Graphically, it's pleasing to the eye. If you read quickly, it's not too bad.

Most useful are the references, pointing towards comprehensive coverage of many of the book's topics.

You might consider retaining for future reference after class is done.

A glorified journal article devoid of any original thought. This book has almost 70 pages of references. One can't read a small paragraph without stumbling across 3-4 citations. The author simply regurgitates abstract nursing theory fluff and odes to Florence Nightingale.

I'm sure these book are great but I only bought them because they were required when I was in nursing school. This is not what I would consider everyday reading enjoyment but they served their purpose well.

I was looking for a book for my nursing class. We were told on the day of our final exam that the course was starting a week after our finals. It was a very short notice. I looked for a low-cost fast shipping book and i found this. My book arrived just on time for my class.

I needed this textbook to teach a class in nursing leadership. Being able to acquire it as a used book was an exceptional deal.
