A volume in the Contemporary Perspectives in Rehabilitation Series Edited by Steven L. Wolf, PhD, PT, FAPTA

With a new title and format, the 4th Edition of the previously titled Thermal Agents in Rehabilitation combines all modalities in one book. Its focus remains on expanding and strengthening clinical decision-making skills through sample case studies. A problem-solving approach with hands-on information describes the contemporary application of modalities with an emphasis on evidence-based practice. The 4th Edition has been entirely revised to reflect the terminology of the APTA's Guide to Physical Therapist Practice.

"This is the best overall text for modalities I've seen in my 14 years of teaching modalities. It has the meat without the unnecessary and superfluous. I will be adopting it as my new text this coming year and in years to come." -- Burke Gurney, PT, PhD., Assistant Professor, Physical Therapy Program, Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation, University of New Mexico School of Medicine

The eBook is different than the hardcover. This text was required for PT school, and I was thrilled that it was available electronically saving money and weight; however, when the professor was assigning readings for her course, nothing was matching up. I finally compared the table of contents on the publisher's site, and found the discrepancy. I didn't find this out until after mid terms, and consequently didn't do as well as I should have. Lesson learned. Go to the publisher's website and compare table of contents to make sure you're getting the exact same textbook. Amazon doesn't always have the table of contents available. My mistake was assuming both copies were identical because they had the same ISBN

I received the textbook within the week that I ordered it, and I used standard shipping. So that was awesome. Also, the book was in the exact condition as it was described. This seller did really well. Thanks so much.
