Price and product met my expectations. This is an awsome reference for social workers focusing on trauma and abuse survivors.

I bought this one as used, condition of the book was exceptionally good, nearly brand new. Very happy with it.

Extremely comprehensive in explaining how trauma reactions develop, the different ways they are manifest and essential elements needed in treatment. The author obviously has had extensive experience working with survivors of repeated/ chronic childhood trauma. The only things I would change would be to have a little less info on brain chemistry and animal behavioral studies and a little more info on treatment issues. But the book is highly readable, interesting and very informative. I also like that the author does not lean heavily on case studies. In this way, it reads a little more like a textbook (again, which I prefer).
